It focuses on the urgent needs of the country as well as Guangxi and it is problem-oriented. It also serves for the sustainable development of the target nationalities, promoting the regional harmony based on respect for differences, inclusive personality, and recognition of rights so as to provide intellectual support and personnel guarantee for the local economic construction, political construction, cultural construction, social construction and ecological civilization construction. Besides, it helps and promotes the construction and development of university subjects and specialities, which makes it become a characteristic nationality research center with great impact in the national academic circle, professional think tank and database, a incubator of national culture achievements, a cradle of personnel cultivation, and a platform of academic exchanges.
